Delete Your Account

Goal:

Permanently remove your account and all your personal data from HomyIQ.

You will need:

  • Your account is not the owner of a household with other active members (if you are, transfer ownership first)
  • Have access to your phone or tablet

Follow these steps:

  1. 1Open the HomyIQ app and go to Settings by tapping the 'More' tab at the bottom, then tap 'Settings'.
  2. 2Scroll down and tap 'Account' to open your account settings.
  3. 3Scroll all the way down to the red 'Danger Zone' section with destructive styling.
  4. 4Read the warning carefully. If you own a household with other family members in it, you will see a message saying you must transfer ownership first. Tap the 'Go to Members' link to transfer ownership to another adult member before you can delete your account.
  5. 5Once you have confirmed you can proceed (you are not a household owner with active members), type the word DELETE (all capitals) in the text field to confirm.
  6. 6Tap the red 'Delete my account' button.
  7. 7You will be signed out and taken back to the login screen. Your account is now permanently deleted.
What success looks like:

Your account no longer exists in HomyIQ, all your personal data is removed, and you are signed out to the login screen. If you were a regular member (not owner) of a shared household, that household will remain and other members will still see it, but your name and profile will no longer appear in the Members list.">
