Fix an Invite Link That Won't Open

Goal:

Understand why an invite link isn't working and request a fresh one so you can join the household.

You will need:

  • You have received an invite link from a household member
  • You have the link open or copied and ready

Follow these steps:

  1. 1Open the invite link the person sent you. If you see a message like 'Invitation expired,' 'Invitation revoked,' 'Already accepted,' or 'Invitation not found,' the invite is no longer active.
  2. 2Invitations last for 7 days. If more than a week has passed since the invite was sent, ask the person who invited you to send a fresh link — old links stop working automatically.
  3. 3If the link says 'Already accepted,' someone has already used this invite to join. Ask for a new invite instead.
  4. 4If the link says 'Invitation revoked,' the household owner or admin cancelled it. Reach out to them to understand why and ask for a new invite.
  5. 5Contact the person who sent you the invite and ask them to create a new one. Go to the 'More' page, tap 'Members,' tap 'Invite someone,' and send the new link to you.
  6. 6Once you get the fresh link, tap it on your phone. You will see the household name, the role you're joining as, and when the new invite expires.

You understand why the invite stopped working, know how long invites stay active, and can successfully join with a fresh link from your household member.

  • Ask your household owner to explain your role and what you can do in the app.
  • After you join, check the Today page to see your household's chores and events.
