Common questions
How do I add my family?
Open Settings → Members and share the invite link. Everyone who joins sees the household’s shared calendar, tasks, lists and more in their own language. The Free plan holds up to 3 members; Premium holds up to 8.
Which ways can I sign in?
With your email and password, with Google, or with Apple. Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen and we’ll email you a reset link.
What is free, and what is Premium?
Free is a real plan for up to 3 members: shared calendar, tasks and chores, lists and pantry, recipes, notes, manual bill reminders and the Kitchen Display. Premium adds photo, email and voice capture, Google Calendar and Tasks sync, shared expenses and budgets, and room for 8 members.
Can we each use a different language?
Yes. Interface language is per member, with more than 100 languages and regions and full right-to-left layouts. What you write — a task title, a recipe name — is shared as written, not translated.
Where is the app for my phone?
HomyIQ runs in any browser and installs from the browser in one tap. When the native apps are listed in the App Store and Google Play, the download badges appear on the home page.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. Every step, and what happens to your data, is on the Delete your account page — including how to ask us by email if you can no longer sign in.
Your account and data
- Delete your account — In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Can’t sign in? The Delete your account page explains how to ask us by email, and what is removed.
- Remove some of your data — Any member can delete their own tasks, notes, documents, recipes and entries one at a time from inside the app — no account deletion needed.
- Disconnect Google — Settings → Connections → Disconnect removes Google Calendar, Tasks or Drive access and the tokens we stored.
- Your privacy rights — Access, correction, export and deletion requests go to support@homyiq.com. The Privacy Policy lists what we hold and why.
Premium, trials and billing
Subscriptions are managed by the store you bought them from, so cancelling, changing plans and refunds all happen there — not in HomyIQ.
- Bought on iPhone or iPad — Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Reinstalled or switched devices? Open HomyIQ Premium in the app and choose Restore purchases.
- Bought on Android — Manage or cancel in the Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Refunds are requested from Google Play.
- Subscribed on the web — Manage or cancel from Settings → Account in the app, or through the link in your receipt email.
- The 14-day trial — The trial continues into Premium unless you cancel before it ends. Cancelling drops your household back to Free — everything you created stays.
Report a problem
Something not working? Email us and include what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. The device and app you use (for example “iPhone, the App Store app” or “laptop, Chrome”) and a screenshot let us reproduce it much faster.
For anything that affects the security of an account or a household, write to the same address and put “Security” in the subject line; those messages go to the front of the queue. To report content or a household member, use Settings → Report a problem in the app or write to the same address.
HomyIQ is based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our Terms of Service name the business that provides it.
Accessibility
HomyIQ is built to be usable by every age in a household, and the modes below layer on top of every screen. Turn them on in the app under Settings → Accessibility; they work together and are remembered on each device.
- Large text — a bigger base size, larger tap targets and more breathing room.
- High contrast — darker text, bolder borders and prominent focus rings.
- Simplified view — fewer secondary indicators and less clutter on list rows.
- Reduced motion — animations and transitions off; the system setting is respected as well.
- Screen readers and keyboards — every control is labelled and reachable by keyboard, and the interface follows your language's reading direction, including right-to-left.
Something in the way of using HomyIQ? Tell us at support@homyiq.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line and we will work on it with you.
Privacy and terms
How we handle your household’s data is in the Privacy Policy. The rules for using HomyIQ, including subscriptions and the trial, are in the Terms of Service. Both are written in plain language and dated.
